Since the Daylight Savings Time regulations have
changed, the Frontier Minilab, LPC, PIC / Frontier
Manager and Kiosk will no longer automatically
adjust the clock on the correct date. How do
current Fujifilm customers remedy the incorrect
DST
time setting on their current Minilab/Kiosk
equipment?
Answer
Federal Regulations will change the date when
Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins and ends.
Previously, DST would begin at 2:00AM on the first
Sunday in April and would end on the last Sunday
in October. In 2007 the new regulations state
that DST will begin on the second Sunday in March
and end the first Sunday in November.
Fuji Minilab equipment that utilizes the Microsoft
Windows Operating System (for example Frontier
Minilabs, LPC, and Kiosks) will automatically
adjust the internal clock for DST. However, since
the DST regulations have changed, the Frontier
Minilab, LPC, PIC / Frontier Manager and Kiosk
will no longer automatically adjust the clock on
the correct date.
Existing (previously installed) Minilab
Equipment.
Customers have two options available to remedy the
incorrect DST time setting on their current
Minilab equipment:
1. Turn off the "Automatically adjust clock
for Daylight Saving Time" setting in "Date and
Time Properties" and set the clock manually when
Daylight Saving Time begins and ends.
OR
2. The customer can purchase a DST Update
Software Patch CD. This CD is available through
the Minilab parts department for a nominal fee.
The update is end user installable and will not
require a service visit. Once this update is
performed, the device will continue to
automatically adjust DST without user
intervention.
a. The part number for the DST Update CD is
FTC148F1000 and the CD is currently available from
the Minilab Parts Department. This update CD can
be used on all Frontier Minilab Main Control
Units, LPC Controllers, PIC / Frontier Manager and
Kiosks.
