Terms & Conditions for Digital Camera Extended Limited Warranty

1.Extended Limited Warranty Coverage. This Extended Limited Warranty consists of an Extended Limited Warranty, which provides an additional two years of coverage under our manufacturer's standard new product warranty. Fuji warrants to the original purchaser of the product herein registered that the product shall function properly for a period of three years from the original date of purchase under normal and proper usage. This Extended Limited Warranty covers malfunctions resulting from defects in materials or workmanship only. If the Fuji product fails to function properly under normal and proper usage due to defects in materials or workmanship during the period of this Extended Limited Warranty, Fuji will repair, adjust or replace defective parts as Fuji deems appropriate. The effective period includes the original one-year manufacturer's warranty period plus a two-year Extended Limited Warranty period.

This Extended Limited Warranty is only valid if purchased at the same time as the purchase of a new Fuji-brand digital camera, which is covered by our standard new product warranty. This Extended Limited Warranty is only available to the original purchaser; it is not transferable under any circumstances. It is not refundable. This Extended Limited Warranty applies only to Fuji cameras that are distributed in the United States by Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. and purchased from a Fuji authorized dealer. This Extended Limited Warranty does not apply to Fujifilm brand products imported and sold in the U.S.A. by unauthorized dealers, distributors or other sellers. THIS EXTENDED LIMITED WARRANTY IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN FLORIDA, OKLAHOMA, VIRGINIA OR ANY STATE OR TERRITORY WHERE SUCH SALE IS PROHIBITED BY LAW.

2. Not Covered. This Extended Limited Warranty does not cover damage or malfunctions stemming from other than normal and proper usage. This Extended Limited Warranty also does not cover the following: (a) intentional or accidental misuse or abuse (including, but not limited to, damage from sand, dirt, water, liquid or impact), (b) failure to follow operating or maintenance instructions, (c) repairs by any individual or entity other than an authorized Fujifilm Repair Center, (d) product components, accessories or consumables not manufactured by Fuji or its affiliates, (e) product tampering, (f) droppage, (g) battery leakage, (h) software programs, (i) media cards. Fuji's responsibility under this Extended Limited Warranty is limited to the repair, adjustment or replacement of defective parts as determined by Fuji in its sole discretion. Routine cleaning and normal cosmetic wear and tear are not covered by this Extended Limited Warranty. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN CONDITIONS ON THE REPAIR OF WARRANTIED PRODUCTS, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

3. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. BY YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THIS EXTENDED LIMITED WARRANTY, YOU AGREE THAT FUJI SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM DELAY OR LOSS OF USE OF THE PRODUCT IN SERVICE OR REPAIR. FUJI SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR GENERAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF BREACH OF THIS EXTENDED LIMITED WARRANTY. FUJI ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR WARRANTIES EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED BEYOND THAT WHICH IS CONTAINED HEREIN.

4. Validation of Extended Limited Warranty. In order to validate this Extended Limited Warranty, register online at www.fujifilm usa.com/pixrx. Please be sure to keep a copy of your sales receipt for the product and your owner Extended Limited Warranty card in a safe and secure place. You will need them in order to obtain service during the warranty period.

5. Obtaining Service. If the product requires service, please pack it carefully using ample packing material in order to prevent damage during shipment and mail it postage prepaid and insured to Camera Repair Department, 1100 King Georges Post Road, Edison, New Jersey 08837 and include proof of purchase of the Extended Limited Warranty. When service is completed, your product will be returned to you postage prepaid. Fuji is not responsible for damages or loss incurred in connection with mailing and/or transportation of product. In your package, please include the following:

(a) A copy of the sales receipt showing the date and place of purchase.
(b) A copy of your Extended Limited Warranty Card with the product serial number corresponding to the serial number of the product.
(c) Sample digital prints (or filed on disks) if available and related to the problem.
(d) All accessory items that may be related to the problem.
(e) A detailed description of the problem.
